XC Summer Conditioning

We highly encourage our athletes to train during the summer. This sets them up for a successful season as they have already built their base conditioning.

All athletes who meet the athletic requirements will make it onto the team.

However, they must be able to break 20 minutes for 2 miles before they are allowed to participate in meets.

June 3rd - August 9th

Mon, Wed, Thurs & Fri @ Wilcox near Track  - 4:30 PM

Tuesday @ Mt. Trashmore or Rancho - 4:00 PM

Saturday Long Run @ TBD - 9:00 AM

Pre-season Knowledge Sessions
@ Wilcox - Fitness Room - 4:10 PM 
August 5th - 9th (Tentative)

First Day of Season Practice
August 12th @ Track - 4:10 PM

300 Miles Club
Summer Practice

All runners who run 300 miles during the summer, will get a

Wilcox Summer 300-mile club T-shirt with the seasons year.

Parents of runners on the team

& Alumni may also earn these shirts! 

 

The 300 miles need to be completed before the start of school. 

Please record your summer milage daily basis
 

Runners who reach 500 Miles may receive a 500-mile club running hat!

 

Runners who may want to run on their own can refer to the example training programs.

Check out our routes around the school if you need some suggestions.
